Experiments on Relationship between the Bearing Sequence of Pear Fruits in Cluster and Their Characteristics

Abstract
The Present experiment were conducted to see the relation of the fruit characteristics according to the fruiting sequence of the flower cluster after either bud or fruit thinning were made.
The results obtained were summrized as follows.
1. Bad thinning showed a tendancy of better fruit guality than fruit thinning did as a whole.
2. The second fruit in cluster was best for the weight and size of the fruits followed by the third, in both fruit and bud thinning treatments. The poorest fruit in uniformity was obtained at the first fruit cluster and better fruits as position of the cluster goes by higher.
3. The period from July 30 to August 10 showed the biggest growth (width 9§®, length 8.2§®) in diameter of pears, and in width followed by the last part of July, middle part of July and middle part of August, and in length by the middle part of July, middle part of August and last part of July in order.
